Hi, I’m TSANDTOES, a 17-year-old pianist, composer, and playlist-maker with a deep love for anime and all things creative. I don’t just make playlists; I build little sonic universes where melodies tell stories and rhythms sketch emotions.

Soundscape #0 is my first offering—a vibrant collection of 51 tracks that’s equal parts nostalgic and cutting-edge. It’s the soundtrack to my life right now, and I’m so excited to share it with you.

What’s in a Soundscape?

Soundscape! (yes... I like cats!)

For me, music isn’t just something to listen to; it’s something to experience, like walking through a dreamscape where each song reveals a different scene.

With Soundscape #0, I’ve woven together tracks that have shaped me—from Britpop anthems like Pulp’s "Do You Remember the First Time?" to the ethereal beauty of Ryuichi Sakamoto’s "MUJI2020." It’s a mix of genres, moods, and decades, but somehow, it all feels like home.

The TSANDTOES Vibe

My style? It’s a little quirky, a little edgy, and unapologetically me. I love contrasts, so this playlist jumps from the raw energy of Muse’s "Sunburn" to the dreamy serenity of Khruangbin’s "So We Won’t Forget."

There’s a bit of rebellion in The Stone Roses’ "I Wanna Be Adored," some 80s synthpop fun with Pet Shop Boys’ "West End Girls," and a jazzy cool-down with Chet Baker’s "I Fall in Love Too Easily." It’s eclectic, but that’s the point—this is how my mind works.

The Numbers Tell a Story

I’m a bit of a data nerd when it comes to my playlists. Soundscape #0 has a tempo that averages 117 BPM, perfect for keeping your energy up without overwhelming. It’s dominated by rock (alternative, of course) and peppered with gems from the 2020s, my favorite decade for discovering new music. Most tracks are in G major, so you’ll feel an uplifting, hopeful vibe throughout.

Anime Dreams, Musical Realities

As someone who lives and breathes anime, a lot of these tracks feel like they could be part of an anime soundtrack. Slowdive’s "kisses" would play during a bittersweet confession scene, while Flying Lotus and Kendrick Lamar’s "Never Catch Me" would score an intense, fast-paced action sequence. This playlist is basically my dream anime soundtrack waiting to happen.
